This restaurant along with Sulga, are probably my 2 favorite Korean Restaurants in Ktwn ... not only is the food legit, clean, yummy, with great service, it also provides free parking for customers. I have mentioned before, but parking is a huge thing for me especially in areas such as ktwn and dtwn. Coming from the westside, it already takes me about an hour in traffic to make my way east and the last thing I want to deal with, is the stress of finding parking while hangry. :P

Yukga's menu is extensive and all the items are really good! I have brought so many friends and family members here and each have agreed that they enjoyed the food here. The restaurant staff is very friendly and I think by now, they recognize me by face =)

My favorite dishes to order here is the grilled mackerel fish with kimchi jiggae combo. They have cheaper lunch prices vs. dinner prices for the same dish serving size (so if you can make it during lunch times, you are in for an even bigger win!) You get a whole fish! and stew -- depending on how hungry you are, you can save the leftovers for another meal later. The banchan here is good and my next favorite dish is the kalbi jeem (both spicy and non-spicy are good); their soups such as sullungtang or kalbi tang are good as well as their bibimbap and bossam. Honestly, everything here is tasty.

The restaurant is very spacious which is also a plus and they have a couple of private rooms; it's great for groups!

Korean rib soup (Kalbi tang) - 6-22-19 at 10:00 am
Sun Nong Dan may be more popular, but Yukga Kalbi tang was better priced ($14.22 + tip) and had more quality side dishes (6)

The bowl was bigger to fit 3 ribs along with a plentiful amount of soup. The soup flavor slightly favored Sun, but Yukga was good enough.

Sun is known for their Veggie Wraps; they even have a sheet listing all their vegetables with their health benefits.  I need to eat more veggies...maybe next time.

I've never been to a korean restaurant that showcases the vegetables/herbs rather than the meat itself. This restaurant does just that, and it's rather interesting! It has a home-like feel to it, and they have variety of korean soups and meat options. Their superstar dish is the vegetable variety w/ the bossam.

Good value & good food = double win.

I'll be coming back! I did want to note that there seems to be a bit of a lingering cigarette smell in the restaurant the last time I went. I hope that went away.

    Amazing!!!
This place has become my daily spot where I buy my lunch. I had delicious dinner for affordable price. My favorite Asian food is right here and you can't stop eating it. Check this out.!!!

I really only get the donkatsu when I go to Yukga because it's so darn good at such a good price. Not only do you get crispy and yummy slices of pork cutlet, but they are always so generous with their banchan. The banchan always tastes so fresh and seasoned just right, and their donkatsu sauce is really not bad for a place that doesn't specialize in it. I would pick this place over the other donkatsu places in ktown any day. I'm not a huge fan of the dining space though (there are always flies flying around and it smells kinda funky) so I always get it to go.
